Out of what, Op? 5 out of 5? 10? Just to help us figure what you're thinking...

I found myself liking Ken's commercials for Allstate and Cingular - he seemed to have a personality that comes off a little warmer and friendlier than I thought he had on J! (or he has learned how to act). Maybe he felt he had to be as witty and smart as Alex and it came off smug. Or maybe he changes gears when in a competitive mode. Anyway, I don't think he comes off too bad. As long as he avoids turning into a Shatner-style parody of himself, more power to him.  The Allstate is on the edge of that..let's see what happens from here.

Since the first post was modified from "a 5" to "a 5/10" to answer my legit question, thanks for helping me translate the obvious. It was just that with different reviewers from newspapers, websites and others using maximums of 4, 5, up to 10 for everything from toasters to music albums, just wanted to see if his praise was high or fair.

I posted said commercial to my website (must be registered to access it.)

It's a good thing that it aired during the SP marathon last night!

P.S.  If the registration e-mail does not come, I can approve you manually.  Just email (nicktodor@gmail.com) the username you signed up as, and I'll approve you ASAP.  (May take a while if you e-mail me bewteen 10-12 AM today [Easter].)

Wow...that's actually pretty clever! lol

Anyway, I don't care for the ad as the set up is way too obvious. I much prefer the long-distance plan ad, which had a cute premise (Ken keeps meeting "relatives" that he doesn't know about) and used it rather well.

I'm in the group that likes Ken (his head-shaking thing strikes me as more dorky than arrogant) and as long as he has a good sense of perspective on his fame, I only wish him the best.
