I got all of 2 seconds of today's TPIR before <snip> We get the moving of the Pope's body.

Am I safe in saying the West Coast/Mountain Time zones will get a rerun today?

I think a good part of this week (esp. Friday....Funeral is scheduled for 10am EST) will have events from the Vatican pre-empting TPiR.

Are you sure about that?  From what I've seen, the funeral is scheduled for 10:00 Rome time, which is four in the morning over here.

(Unless CBS is airing it on tape delay...)

That's what should be done. Most or all of this week of TPIR may get prempted. There's a scheduled week of reruns in two weeks, CBS could air any of all of the preempted shows that week.

Thank you - it is indeed 10am Rome time, 4am EST. :)

My Baton Rouge CBS affiliate's airing it right now and I can't really tell you if it's a rerun or not.

Did they make any advance mention that the special coverage was going to happen today?

Somehow in CBS News' team coverage of the repose of the pontiff, Bob Schieffer, Charles Osgood and company failed to mention whether or not The Price Is Right would be presented. Douglas Edwards wouldn't have made that oversight.

Wouldn't it be funny if it ended in a Double Overbid today?

The post right above yours is completely lost on you, isn't it?

Douglas Who? Is he in charge of CBS? Where can I write him?

I don't think it's that it's lost on him. I just think he doesn't care. He wants his TPiR, and no news event to him warrants interrupting his show for it.

Maybe CBS could do an agreement with some cable channel to carry TPIR on those days when news coverage conflicts..sorta like "To see today's TPIR tune to VH1..."
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Or they could just use the rerun weeks to actually show the pre-empted episodes. They haven't done that so far this season. That's more annoying than the pre-emptions themselves.

Oh so freakin' hilarious, because a game show is ALWAYS more important than the burial arrangements for the Pope! Funnier than Don Howard, Chris Lemon, and I on Whose Line is it Anyway! I tell you, I would've pissed myself if it had been a double overbid! No I probably would've shit a brick from laughing so hard! W00t! The only thing funnier is if someone had bid $42069 on the Showcase! W00t r0xx0rs GIT-R-DUNNNNNN!!!! :D :D :D

I think I could make a pretty good argument that it is. How any dead person's burial arrangements are more important than *anything* that people genuinely enjoy is beyond me.
