Just saw something bizarre on The Daily Show... apparently Ken popped up on Sesame Street's premiere this week.

Allegedly he's been overshadowed by the new "Cookie (is a sometimes food) Monster", but there you go.

Analyze at will, if you would like.

Cheers,

Ryan :)

I just got done looking at those, and I'm willing to bet a lot of kids are asking the same question:

"Mommy, who's that nerdy looking guy standing next to Big Bird?"

No offense intended to Mr. Jennings, but he does look like a nerd.
I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012

1)  I'm not that sure how that makes him different from any other J! contestant.

2)  That's a +$2mil nerd, sir.  Taking Worthington's Law into consideration, that makes him better than a goodly portion of the GSB.

EDIT: Combined.[/b]

Just one more thing that Ken and I have in common.

(Meeting Big Bird, that is, not the $2mil.)

This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

I wouldn't say a nerd just your typical average type of everyday guy perhaps!

"Today, kids, the Count and I are going to count to 2,522,700.  Ready...1, 2, 3..."

Sounds like a two-parter--possibly a pledge-drive stunt.

That's cute having Ken Jennings do Sesame Street.  Maybe Count Von Count should have counted the days he was on (75 wonderful days! Ha ha ha! (Thunder clapping)).

I'm surprised that I saw a news feature about some fans protesting over changing the Cookie Monster.  What's next, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles giving up pizza or even Brian the Dog (Family Guy) becomes sober & stops drinking martinis?

Suprised he hasn't met Guy Smiley.
Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

Caroll Spinney is a guy? For all these years I've thought it was a woman. Never really investigated it, just heard the name and voice and assumed.

How do you know any of the Muppets have gender at all? :)

(With the exceptions of Miss Piggy and Kermit, and Bert and Ernie, all of whom's sexual proclivities are well documented. ;))

Well I don't remember seeing as many pizzas on the current TMNT series.  Nothing, though, could be as traumatic as when Popeye the Sailor Man spoke these words: "Can the spinach, I wants me Quaker Oatmeal!"

And I don't think Sesame Street continuing to, ahem, give itself the Bob Barker treatment is shocking anymore.  Where oh where did the '70s and '80s go?!!?  P.S. they had it in for Cookie Monster ever since he sang "Healthy Food"

EDIT: I knew that reminded me of something...

Oh well, at least nothing has happened as crazy as, say, the Looney Tunes being turned into anime-style superheroes...oh wait...

ObGameShow: Um...well...I think "Popeye" was the "P" word in an Alphabetics on PW+ recently shown on GSN...
