$ale gets new look

Gonna be odd referring to it as Temptation (its original 70s title), but I'm so thrilled to see $otC finally return after 3 yrs in limbo, I could care less what they call it!

Ooh this looks very interesting.  It's always nice to see how the Aussie's treasure such a great show.

That is freakin' awesome, but you have to wonder why they would abandon a brand that  they've been building up for the last 20 years....

I suppose there is no way to watch this except to move across the globe?
Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

And it's still been 16 years for us. :-(

Yeah, I know there was the pilot from the late-90s, so you could say about 8 years. But that never went to series (and from what I read, maybe that's not a bad thing--no Instant Bargains?!), so I still say 16 years. :-)

Believe me, as a huge Australian Rules Football fan, if there was a way to get the Nine Network in the US, I'd prolly have it. :)

As a huge Sale of the Century junkie, this is the news I've been waiting for. I'd probably have trouble calling it Temptation, but I'm sure that the Aussies will make this version better than the last.

That in and of itself will be hard.

Sounds like producers changing elements of a classic game show , just because they can. That would never happen here, right?

Though I am happy to see another Weatherman jump to the Hosting podium. Even if it's halfway around the world. Maybe that's my problem, my agent is looking for gigs on the WRONG FRIGGIN HEMISPHERE.

Even the hostess is a weatherperson.  Hey, if it worked for Sajak and O'Connell...

Much as we would have liked it to, it didn't work out so well for O'Connell. ;)

Connecticut has too much weather.  Move to Southern California where it never rains.  How come Fritz Coleman never got a game show?
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Of all the shows I wouldn't mind seeing brought back to the US (yeah I know, wish in one hand...) $ale would be it.

Even if they upped the prize budget (in this current era of Game Shows) to the point where it wouldn't look cheap, but wouldn't be so outrageous that it would suffer from "Mo' Money Syndrome", it could be a great show.

My only concern is, could anyone be found to host $ale now that would give the show the same feel as Jim Perry did.  Jim is the master, and it wasn't until I got old enough to realize how great he was at $ale.  If the reruns of $ale ever appear somewhere, someday, I'd watch every show all over again, just to be able to fully appreciate the job he did with it.
