Yet ANOTHER GS-based commercial...
« on: April 24, 2005, 12:50:58 PM »
A commercial I just saw on Arby's featured a typical 3-person quiz. One of the contestants [with the Arby's hat on his head] keeps buzzing in and answering each question incorrectly. The host this time was [shudder] Michael Burger, and the set was hard to describe----I'd call it a question-mark covered eyesore.

There are three things I've learned never to discuss with people: Religion, politics, and the proper wrapping of microphone cables.

Dick Brisket wasn't available.

(And if you ever find a restaurant serving Dick Brisket, my advice is to run away as fast as you can. :))

Line of the Week, and I don't care if the week just started.

And one of the contestants (the one with the Arby's hat, I do believe; I just caught the last few seconds of the game show portion of the ad) was the host of Oblivious, Regan Burns.

Then WHY post? To add......nothing?

That's right, I hate when people just post and don't add anything to the topic.

I wonder what question Regan got right to go up to 100 points, BTW.  That was a pretty good commercial, but I still liked the basketball and courtroom commercials better.

The countdown to 100 ended awhile ago, why are you still here?

At least it's problably better than the Orbitz commercial with Wink Martindale.
I can't make a decent joke with that commercial.

The FF Old Navy commercial from a while back would've been funnier if it was a Shout commercial. They'd Shout the answers during bullseye round while some jerkoff is spraying barbeque sauce on the contestants. :)
Can't remove that stain? SHOUT it out! :p

... and serve it on that brisket :)

Well, I got my first two looks at this commercial...and I have to say, Arby's is trying too hard. I sure as hell dont think Reuben when I go to Arby's. I think, "how much closer is it to Wendy's, Taco Bell, and Popeyes in the food court?"

I just don't like the quiz-show type element in ads. Never did.

And what, Bob Eubanks wasn't available?
