[quote name=\'fostergray82\' date=\'May 18 2005, 08:52 PM\']And hopefully, this will be the beginning for some more GSN original (in-studio). Hell, do something based on Blackjack even, or do something like Celebrity Blackjack, just with civilians...if it's engaging enough with F-list stars playing for charity, I'm sure it would work with everyday people playing for themselves, and a much lower budget. ;-)

Maybe a "Gambit" revival, but the pure luck casino-type programs are running the risk of overexposure, IMO.  Even CNBC had one the other night.

Agreed. Yet one more reason to ignore this pathetic show.

Unfortunetly, they're only doing auditions in LA. They're taping in June and July. If you're in the area--give them a call.

*Sigh* If only they would be taping when the congress is on...

FWIW, the Dutch version of Lingo now uses six-letter words.

Question is: Will Ms. (or is it Mrs.) Hayes be back?

Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

IIRC, France's version ("Motus") was at eight letter words, last I checked.

My "Motus JR." CD-ROM gives a choice for four, five or six letter words, FWIW.

It's a mix...a variety of games within the lingo format that includes various-sized words...

How about THAT!
Somebody's seeing the possibilities in traditional studio games again.

I tried telling those that whined about GSN's change in direction that they weren't trying to ignore game shows totally.  If this isn't proof enough, then I don't know what on God's green earth is.

No, she won't, which is kind of depressing.  Well, at least Beverly says she won't, I'll double check.  Stacey really helped with Chuck's apparent lack of vocabulary at certain points and aided in keeping some form to the show during the Lingo ball drawing, but oh well.  Now I just wonder what they are going to do with the set since that Stacey's area is quite large and is very visible during the pan to the Lingo board.

Try 90 below, Robert.  Why is it that I always have to correct you? :-D

ObGameShows:  If Chuck ever leaves Lingo, and the show continues to do new episodes, Richard Karn would be a good replacement.  Then he could DOUBLE THE POINTS!!!!!
