A new game show slot machine

Match Game slots from WMS Gaming feature the likenesses of Gene Rayburn, Jimmie Walker, Brett Somers, Charles Nelson Reilly, Vicki Lawrence, plus two celebs who I don't believe ever played Match Game - Rip Taylor and Morgan Fairchild. Correct me if I'm wrong about that last point.

 Rip did MG74 and MG90, but Morgan never did any incarnation of MG.

Joker's Wild would be one show that's more than logical for a slot machine incarnation that IIRC hasn't been done yet.

Yeah really, how much sense does that make..none. Perfect setup for it, wonder why somebody didn't pull their head out of their arse for that one.

A Card Sharks slot might work too, IMHO

 High Rollers is another game show franchise that might lead itself to a slot. MGM should take note that they own the rights to a number of Heatter-Quigley game shows, but that's another story.

I stand corrected on Rip Taylor. I now vaguely remember him sitting in Seat 1, but in this version he's in the Dawson seat. Brett and Charles are where they belong, thank Goodness, and JJ Walker did sit in Seat 1 whenever he did the show.

I would love to see The Joker's Wild slots in the vegas casinos... even Card Sharks, High Rollers, or Gambit.   Card Sharks would be a hit for sure.

now if you can figure out how to synthesize Jack Barry's voice for the Joker slots.

At Foxwoods (don't know about Vegas or AC) they have a table game called "Catch-A-Wave" which has similar gameplay to the main Card Sharks game.

(I last played this almost two years ago so these rules might not be exact...)
You can guess higher/lower up to six times and freeze at any time (one mistake and you lose your bet - drawing a matching card loses).  The one catch is you must go further than the dealer (who must freeze on 6 thru 10).   The odds can go as high as 6-1 if you go all the way (depending on how far the dealer goes).  

IMO it's more of a "time-killer" game than a game anyone would want to risk serious money playing.

Has this turned up in AC yet?  I sure didn't see it yesterday on my trip there.  This is probably a Woolery left Wheel, but I did see a Concentration slot.  And the Hollywood Squares slot now has NOTHING to do with the show outside of featuring people who were on the show.

So, the elusive "Concentration" slot is in AC? I haven't been able to find that slot in Vega$ or Laughlin. I'll have to stop by AC when I'm on that coast.

I was in Vega$ a few weeks ago and I did not see the "Match Game" slots; although I did play (and lose) at a Family Feud slot featuring Richard Dawson and a 'Bullseye' bonus theme...

Atlantic City is extremely slow when it comes to gaining regulatory approval for new slots... and there are only 13 casinos in town, as opposed to the hundreds in Nevada. Let's see, is it still 13.... Hilton, Tropicana, Trump Plaza, Caesar's, Bally's (including Wild West and Claridge - now all considered one casino), Sands, Resorts, Trump Taj Mahal, Showboat, Borgata, Trump Marina, Harrah's... that makes 12. Whoops!

I stuck my head in no less than five of those casinos in AC the other day -- Caesar's, Showboat, Trump Plaza, Trump Taj Mahal and Bally's, and there were no Match Game slots to be found. (I wasn't specifically looking for it, I was looking for the old-style Sigma Poker machines, which are a dying breed - the whole town seems to have embraced IGT machines, mainly because the current Sigma pokers suck.)

I would wait about a year or so, because that's usually how long it takes for the games to come over here after they break in Vega$.

Last weekend, by pure chance, I found the Match Game slots... it was the best ever! They were at Texas Station, which is a few miles off the strip, but a nice place to gamble at. And here's the greatest part... they were 1 cent slots! I sat there and played for an hour plus on the same money I started with. I don't know if they set them at 1 cent to get people to play them (since they were surrounded by nickel machines), but all six 'MG' machines were in use at various times.

Yes, Morgan Fairchild is featured in the slot, along with everybody else mentioned in the quoted post. Even Gene makes an appearance; he just doesn't sound like himself (a pale imitation IMO). When you get at least 3 Gene symbols on a payline, you play Match Game (the front game). You are given a phrase and you pick one of two answers, behind each is a value multiplier. Then, you choose one of two cards each celebrity is holding up. If you match, you light up a triangle. Each match is worth one pick of nine blue "Match Game" cards with various values behind them. When at least 3 'Super Match' symbols come up, guess what you play... You pick one of the six celebrities and you play the 'Super Match'. The familiar board comes up and you choose one of three words to fill in the blank. Then, you see where that word comes up on the board. The values are always different, depending on which celebrity you choose and how many coins you played, etc. Then, you get the chance to double your award if the celebrity matches what word you chose.  

It was definitely a fun way to relax and spend an hour!

In response to the following in "massman1's" post in this thread:

At Foxwoods (don't know about Vegas or AC) they have a table game called "Catch-A-Wave" which has similar gameplay to the main Card Sharks game.

They have that game in the "Real Deal Casino/Shuffle Master Edition" computer program which I bought on sale at MicroCenter in Sharonville, Ohio, not long ago for just $10.  But even at its regular list price of $20, it's a good buy for those of you who might want this game, lots of good other casino computer sims, and, to date, the only game-show related slot machine I know of for home computer players (Press Your Luck).

Unfortunately, I was hit for a big loss this week to the tune of CY$5,405 in that simulated casino -- when my computer suffered a major crash!

(Now, after getting the hard drive reformatted, Windows XP reinstalled, spending hours and hours online downloading and reinstalling all those "critical updates" from the Microsoft website, I have to reinstall the "Real Deal" program and then get a new "Players Club" card before I can start trying to get all that money back!)
