Any chance we could get daily recaps of these in Show Summaries as we did with the Canadian edition of 21? Even without pictures, I'd still follow the contests with great interest.

It looks incredible, but I think they were being a bit disingenuous in the promo when they said "$100,000 up for grabs every night!", since the rules summary says they have to agree to play the next night to have a crack at it, which means they can never win it THAT night.

I found out last night that I too have a contact Down Under who will be recording the premier week for me. Might be a month or so before I have it, but it will be well worth the wait. :)

The thing that I love the most according to the pictures, is the shopping set.  I love the way the prizes are positioned.  I will say again, it's an incredible looking set and show.

I thank you for letting us see these shots.

That was the one part of the rule sheet that didn't make much sense to me. Does it mean if the champ wins the next night,he wins the money he got in the round the night before, or is it just like money added to the jackpot at the end, and he has to go all the way to claim it?

This is strictly a guess, but my interpretation, since there is that $500K in gold at the end of the rainbow, is that any money accumulated in the Ten In A Row game is the player's to keep when they decide to walk. Note, tho, that you only get to play it if you agree to risk it all for the next game, so you have to win at least twice to get anything, and even then you get one TIAR worth.

(I also don't see players getting nine or even ten that often, and you'll note from the pictures that eight in a row is only worth $30K, and seven is twenty. And missing a question at the end of the minute is REALLY costly. So I don't think that cashpot is going to escalate as fast as it seems like it might.)

Question music wise, was the same Sale melody used as the theme? Not really meaning the same exact theme, but tune wise.

Judging by the pictures, those Aussies sure know how to make a show like that & make it run like the devil.  The Temptation Vault round erily reminds me of the original Door #4 in the 80's version of LMAD where Monty says a player can risk(in this case,) $750 to go for a chance at a cash prize anywhere from $1-$5K.  Boy. $2,334 is sure a nice piece of change to win on there with the randomizer.  The $71K car looked like a cheap Viper to me untill I saw a pic of the prize structure.  Overall, this looks like something we need brought back after a 16-year hiatua.

Y'all who have Aussie contacts need to not just get copies of this, but to get copies flown to LA and force-screened for execs at every network and production company in town.  This is  beautiful, well-thought-out, and most impressive.

Doesn't FremantleMedia [who bought Reg Grundy's company] own the rights to Temptation/Sale of the Century?  Maybe they ought to shop it around the US networks and/or stations [if for syndication].

If it ends up being a hit Down Under (and I think those of us who have been hit down under know just how painful that can be), I'd like to think they may well do that.

I'd also like to think that I'll wake up tomorrow and this whole George W. Bush thing will have been a terrible nightmare, but I doubt that will happen. :)

Indeed...as I said before, perhaps FM would be interested in pairing it as a companion show w/FF.

Of course, it's just the beginning, but it does look good, especially considering the competition (Australia's second most beloved soap and "Big Brother").

However, the fact that the non-commercial ABC's newscast is beating "Big Brother" is even more interesting--could the Aussies finally be tiring of the show after six groups of housemates?  Or did the eviction nominations show later that night draw a bigger audience?
