Might as well get my other two TV Guides that I have handy out of the way in one post.

Station Key
NYC-(2)WCBS (CBS) (4)WNBC (NBC) (7)WABC (ABC) (9)WOR (Ind)

April 11, 1983

9AM-(2) Match Game

9:30AM-(2) The Joker's Wild

10AM-(2) $25,000 Pyramid

10:30AM-(2) Child's Play
(4) Sale of the Century
(7) Card Sharks

11AM-(2) The Price is Right
(4) Wheel of Fortune
(9) Tic Tac Dough

11:30AM-(4) Dream House

12 Noon-(2) Tattletales
(4) Battlestars
(7) Family Feud

3PM-(4) Fantasy

7:30PM-(4) Family Feud

Thanks to NBC boosting up their game show lineup, more game shows appeared just months after the last set of listings I posted.  Add to that the Jim Perry Card Sharks reruns on WABC.

August 15, 1983

9AM-(2) Tic Tac Dough

9:30AM-(2) The Joker's Wild

10AM-(2) $25,000 Pyramid

10:30AM-(2) Child's Play
(4) Sale of the Century

11AM-(2) The Price is Right
(4) Wheel of Fortune

11:30AM-(4) Dream House

12 Noon-(2) Tattletales
(7) Family Feud

3PM-(4) Fantasy

7:30PM-(4) Family Feud

For the first time in many years, none of the Indy stations were carrying game shows.  TTD had moved to WCBS, reunited with TJW.  Only difference was that TTD was airing before TJW, as opposed to after.  TTD replaced the MG syndie reruns, and the CS reruns were dropped, as they were only picked up by WABC as filler.  Also of note, Battlestars is gone.

On the 8/15/83 listings, take note that we were over one month away from the arrival of the Whammy!

What happened to CS on WABC come August? I could have sworn the program was on a whole summer. Many a childhood summer day in '83 started off with a classic CS (complete with ticket plugs, where of course the address and phone # were superimposed over with something).

I have CS running on WABC until at least 9/9/83.  "Woman to Woman" was the replacement.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

The TV Guide I had showed People's Court in CS's place.  Maybe the listings I had were faulty.

That's funny, I never remembered Perry CS reruns on WABC...actually, since we got Philly stations where we lived at that time (Howell, NJ, to be exact) my source for CS reruns was WKYW-3, then-NBC of course.   I do remember Rafferty CS being on WABC, of course.

Speaking of CS reruns, I am recalling that and Blockbusters apparently being on CBN.  Never saw that era of CBN, but read old posts and such saying so.  Why did it seem that otherwise, G-T shows were almost never reran until GSN came along?

And speaking of Philly TV...anyone else remember syndie TJW being on WPVI-6 in the daytime?  The only listings I've seen for sure have been on WCBS and WOR.

Also...reading some of these old schedules, I wonder why WNEW-5 got few game shows.  Only one I even vaguely remember is Super Pay Cards.  WPIX I also didn't remember as a game show local channel, but it seems that there have been quite a few syndies there, right?
I'm a pacifist, and even I would like to see a little more action.

Starting in (I think?) fall of 1983, it aired at 11am weekdays on 'PVI.

September 1982-September 1985 it did air weekdays at 11AM on WPVI, plus it was double run in Summer 1983, with the second run airing at 7:30PM weeknights. The latter was replaced by WOF on 9/12/83.

WPXI aired Peck YDS, TTD(1978-79), and reruns of LMAD and TTTT(70s syndie versions) in 1978-79 on. They later aired Fun House, the 1988-89 Gong SHow, the last season of Marshall Squares(Vegas), $50K Pyramid, and the last year of Davidson Squares.

WNEW did air Cross-Wits for most of its 70s run, no? And they did air SPC in the afternoons IIRC. They also aired the Jackpot/Talkabout/Last Word block in 1989.

Zach, I've always wondered.....I know you know the GS's that aired on the Philly/NY stations (for obvious reasons!), how do you know so much about Pittsburgh's shows? That's on the other side of PA..

But "Rachael" starts with the letter R! :-)

Now celebrating his 21st season on GSF!
