  • Just leave the set; that’d be terrific.

This mornings 2:30 AM Match Game had 5 people who were, or eventually became emcees (Peter, Dick, Bill, Elaine, and Betty).  Was there ever an episode that had 6?

Well, the first place to start your research would be the handful of episodes Brett Somers WASN'T on...

Unless either Sarah Purcell or Arlene Francis was the third female celebrity (the only other female game show hosts I can think of that ever appeared on MG), the answer is probably no.

The weeks without Brett had such luminaries as Jack Klugman, Betty Kennedy, Vicki Lawrence, Arlene Francis, Loretta Swit,  Barbara Stuart, and Patty DUke Astin in Brett's usual seat, of which only Vicki and Arlene have hosted a game show.  I think there's a picture from the Peter/Dick/Bill/Elaine/Betty week in the first EOTVGS with an "everyone in this pic has hosted a game show except Brett" caption.

Zach did add a lot of useless minuae to his post, as usual, but he pretty much answered the question (no), Holmes.

My mistake...must stop posting after just waking up. :-)

Will be in the Chamber Chamber for 4th of July. Maybe they'll play with fireworks in this episode.

One episode of MG/HS had Chuck Woolery, Arlene Francis, Jon and Gene, Jamie Farr ("Wordplay"), McLean Stevenson (MG sub for 1/2 ep) and if you allow me to stretch the boundaries, Arsenio Hall (GSN's Star Search.)  To the best of my knowledge, Jamie Farr, who was on virtually every other celeb. game show on TV of the era, never did CBS MG.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.
