I just recalled another: poor Robert Foxworth. It takes him 3 or 4 days to make it to the Winner's Circle at all, and then he wins $150 for the first player--and $100 for the second player. (In the '80s, for those who might find those to be passable scores.)
He well and truly looked like he wanted to crawl under his chair at the end of that show.

Well, $150, while bad, might not have been abjectly awful if they nailed the first three and hit the wall.
