It ends closer to 7:30pm in my city. Back in the day, it was over by 11am.

The intro will change daily. :)

Oh, the rapture! I want details. E-mail me privately. I don't know if the others can handle it. Plus, we wouldn't want to spoil anything.

I thought the new opening was pretty weird.  Wonder what the next one looks like?

I'll admit, adding the idea of a Wheel Watcher's Club member winning the same car in the bonus round if that contestant won it would surely break up the nonotony of offering trips merely every other show to those members.  Hopefully, we'll see quite a few of those this season.

I didn't quite hear the sound effect for the "No Vowels Left" signal, but the sliding part was just as annoying as the pop-up version was.

I guess they've played about the same number of puzzles as they usually did last year, but that's because of all that talking going on from Pat reminding us of the new things this season.  Hopefully, they'll probably "get" to that so-called 11 puzzle average once the pacing gets a bit quicker.

"They're both Norman Jewison movies, Troy, but we did think of one Jew more famous than Tevye."

Now celebrating his 22nd season on GSF!

I can't imagine how they could pull that off short if giving up comercial time which will not happen. It would seem the ability of the contestants would be the main factor in determining how many puzzels can be done per show and that varies.

I'm telling you---it's just a matter of time before they junk the wheel and it becomes Toss-Ups Of Fortune. The bonus wheel will stay but the other one will go to the landfill.
The title will stay the same, though, just as the Judge Parker serialized comic strip has retained its title even though Sam Driver has been hogging all the action for over 30 years.

It's a shame they spot you the T in the bonus round puzzle, 'cuz it would be funny as hell for someone to pick that as their three extra consonants. :)

Yes. Since they've begun to specialize categories, this one could be INVISION BOARD QUESTION INITIALS.

(Because quoting myself is just too darn fun...)

Actually, I should clarify. Openings will be repeated, but there are several of them, so we probably won't be seeing the same one two days in a row. My guess is that they did five and they'll repeat weekly.

You know if people were developing game shows now the toss-up rounds could be the basis for a new show.

That's terrific!  But I think it would only work if we juiced the stakes to something like $1,000,000.  And we'd need a veteran at the helm of the show.

Is Jim Lange available?

After the bonus round ended on tonight's show, Pat threw it to Charlie to say something instead of saying "We'll be back". Also, on this week, like the last time they did this week (Wheel Around the World), they're showing clips of foreign versions of the show.

Two other minor changes: the "house minimum" has increased from $500 to $1000 per round, and contestants who win nothing in the maingame are spotted $1000 instead of $500.
