Good idea.....

And based on the airdate, it looks like that'll cover the missing third week.

  • Just leave the set; that’d be terrific.

We won't know if this NBA week was scheduled for New Orleans a few weeks ago, but I do know it will be very special. Hopefully the show will do something similar to what they did on Christmas Week in 2001, when they matched each champion's total, minimum of $10,000, to help the 9/11 cause.

Special, in the sense that Kobe Bryant finds another girl to rape?

I'm sorry; the NBA is a mere shell of its self.  But that goes for all sports these days.

Wow.  That was completely and utterly classless and uncalled for, Mark.

I don't care if you're having a lousy personal life, or you don't care for the NBA, that's not the point.  There was no reason to say that here.

If they manage to raise some money for charity, so much the better for them.
If you didn’t create it, it isn’t your content.

Wheel has done this with NFL players for a few years now, so going to the NBA sure changes things a bit in that regard.

What they're doing is not only smart, but very intuitive.  Bringing some of the best the NBA & WNBA have to offer should be an intresting week.  This certainly takes care of that missing 3rd week that was wiped out.  Now this season will most likely have its full compliment of episodes to work with.

Nice to see that its being played for charity...though I'd rather see NFL guys instead. :)

They've already done that, April 2003. Incidentally (ironically?), Bed Bath and Beyond set an all-time sales record...tracked to a B. Henke.

The fun, however, was interrupted briefly by some suit-clad Jehovah's Witnesses hawking Mad magazine.
