On a side note, for coining "PJTP" and "Horanstones", do I get a residual check when those terms are used?
You'll get money the day I see one red cent from either "Malcolm Jackpot" or "Klauss/Gibson Sarcasm Detector".

Since most people conveniently ignored the reference, I'll tell you I got a nice chuckle out of it.  :)

Doug -- shall we begin the countdown to 1500?  Why not?

Thanks Doug, I briefly considered mentioning Camp Runamuck but that was too obscure even for me.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

{John Madden}Well, Alex...the person who has the higher score is most likely the one who'll win the game.{/JM}

Let's face it- he's definitely not the get-rich-quick man we call Ken Jennings (and never will). When the pressure comes down on him, he seems to get it done every time. When he goes into the Tournament of Champions, hopefully he won't pull a "Smarty Jones" and lose right away.

I guess I'll be the first to say it.

Wow.

Ah, yes, he's been on quite a few shows now.  He seems to win his games.  Yeah, that must be it.

And Monday was just dumb luck.

If Madden keeps winning, he'll be noticed--especially if he makes it into the November sweeps, at which point he would probably be well over the $1M mark.  The media seems to have a Dr. Evil-like fondness for that number.

Meanwhile, nice way for the writing staff to suck up to Harry Friedman and Gary Johnson by putting in the Nebraska football category on Monday's show.  (Both of them went to the U of N.)  I can just see a new writer talking to Kathy Easterling:

WRITER:  Kathy, what's the best way to get Harry and Gary to like me?

KATHY:  Write a category that has something to do with the University of Nebraska.  Works every time.

Considering Kathy's Anglophilia, I wonder if she's tried to come up with Cornhusker and Royal Family Member as a category.

Going into the closing segment on Monday, I was convinced he had no chance....especially since that FJ! clue was (for me anyway) simple stuff. That dude has a guardian angel.
