I had a friend from Washington tell me he saw a bus advertisement for it, and he gave me a website as well..

World Series of Blackjack 3 Qualifier

40 people are in it this season and $1,000,000 is the total prize pool.  Top prize and location, lord knows.

As if you really think that GSN is going to put "Play the Percentages" in prime time in any time in the near future--or that they should.

As if you think the 0.3 primetime rating of last month is cutting it and paying the bills at GSN?  Obviously I'm not the only one sick of GSN's primetime schedules.

If that's true, GSN might not be hurting as much as you say.

It's as much about numbers as demos.  That's why syndicated shows are usually canceled as soon as they reach low 2's or below no matter how many young adults they reach out to.

I'm sure GSN would love to sacrafice a few total viewers to have a large number of younger viewers, but based on Casey's numbers, GSN lost about 1/4th of its primetime viewers in September.

I think Itiparanoid once said Millionaire's average age is 60+, yet its still in primetime because it gets good numbers.   So if all they cared about were demos without any regards to overall viewers, millionaire would have been gone long ago from the primetime schedule.

Glad to hear Blackjack gets some "fresh" episodes for '06.  It'll be nice hearing, presumably, Vasgersian and his smartass ways again (and I mean that in a positive way) calling blackjack...someone get him out of the NFL on FOX booth though...not a good fit.

As if you think you should be able to smart off to a veteran (and respected) poster?

If you think you can do better (which I highly doubt), go apply for the job of head of GSN Programming.  Reading some of your ideas on the GSN board; they'd laugh before they glanced at your resume.

Uh, he gave as good as he got, Mark. How long you've been here or how "respected" you are has not one thing to do with it. Stupid is as stupid does.
