And man, was it primitive, even for 1983. :-P

So let's see if I can break this down...

1983-86? The LC logo filling up the screen, in tune to the electric drum beat intro, then a shot of one of the day's contestants.
1986-89? Slot machine animation
1989-91  Two hearts flirting with each other
1991-94  Various still shots from episodes shown.
