Sure, it caught my eye in the Biography section of my book store. A big BILL CULLEN emblazoned on the front, and the title down below \"It's A Long Way From Penny Apples\". I thought, \"Wow! An autobiography of Cullen! Why'd they wait until 13 years after his death to publish it?\"

However, that ain't our Bill Cullen, the one whose smiling face you see atop every page of this forum.

So why bother reading it?

Have you ever done a web search for BC and get stuff like..\"CULLEN sponsors BILL in commons,\" etc.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

If buying a copy of \"Penny Apples\" would get it off all the searches I do, I'd snatch one up in a second!

The Bill Cullen who's the subject of the autobiography is an Irish businessman who started in poverty and eventually became chairman of Renault Motors.  There's also a Bill Cullen on the web who's an alcohol intervention specialist and another who's a math teacher in Hawaii.  There's also a William Cullen who was an 18th century physician (he coined the word \"neuroses\"), and there was a 19th century poet named William Cullen Bryant.

The things you learn...

Isn't there an actor named William Kirby Cullen or something like that?  He seemed to be in a television series a few years ago.

By golly, you're right!  Because the \"Kirby\" was always in the middle like that, it never turned up in my searches.

Indeed there is. He played Julie's boyfriend on a few episodes of One Day At A Time.

You should try doing an advanced search on Google, and in the \"without the words\" field, type in \"Penny Apples\"...

Thank you for the advice, Grant.  I'll have to try that next time.

You don't even have to go to Advanced Search. A simple

-\"Penny Apples\"

in the search string will do the trick. (That's a minus sign in the front.) Putting it in quotes will also keep you from losing any valid hits that also happen to mention pennies or apples.
