Is that...
« on: December 06, 2005, 11:17:29 PM »
Just I was taking a break, Cingular has a holiday commerical with kids on the left side (Orange gowns) and adults on the left side (blue gowns).  About halfway up and 4 people on the lefthand side, I could have sworn that is David Ruprect (sp?)

Am I crazy?

Yes. but not because you think you saw David Ruprecht.

Carl, he did say (sp?) there. And Brandon, lighten up a little bit.

What?  He's getting pissy because Carl misspelled a word, and you're telling me to lighten up?  Unfortunately, we all aren't literary geniuses.  Except maybe Zinkin.

I just thought the "oh, my God" was a little much.

(You got your misspeller-complainer backwards too, brudda- it was our worst friend Chumley who did it.)

I've seen that commerical. I don't believe it is but I know he was in an amazon.com ad that was done like an old "Lawerence Welk Show" bit about 4-5 years(?) ago. Anyone else remember that spot?

That commercial wasn't doing Larry Welk--it was doing "Sing Along with Mitch," where Mitch Miller conducted and a bunch of homely-looking guys in sweaters and Leslie Uggams sang songs your great-grandmother knew.  There was no one in that spot with an accordion and nothing peppy (Welk may have been like square, man, but his stuff was still livelier than Guy Lumbago and his Royal Saccharines).
