 I'll admit, my cousin got me watching Blind Date on (The New) TNN/Spike Lee TV. It's a fun little guilty pleasure, but the only thing that makes it really interesting is the sarcastic cartoony captions that are displayed on screen. Oh, and if the couple have absolutely no chemistry and hate each other. :-)

 You are correct, Sir!  They just reran the show this past Friday.  The other celebrity was some advice columnist whom I'd never heard of .  All I remember was that she had a German or Dutch accent, and it sure wasn't Dr. ruth.

I thought \"Fifth Wheel\" and \"EX-Treme Dating\" have been renewed (in fact, the latter show is doing a contest now through the end of August).

We're not going to be rid of these shows *that* easily.

 It sounds kind of odd I know, but I've thought maybe bringing 8 Minute Dating or Speed Dating or one of those types of things that are now done in bars and restaurants across the country might work as a docudatery. One could probably get two dating segments and their post-dating reaction a la Blind Date(for those who never heard of such things, a couple meets at a table for eight or so minutes, and then checks off if they would like to see the person again, or checks it off electronically via e-mail, and info is given to both parties if both say yes).
