What?  It's late December.  I'm allowed to be in reruns.

My apologies to all for not catching it sooner; he won't be posting again.

Wow! Done in by a sappy gooey Get Well Dick post! You remember his posts from after the stroke? Same weepy tone.

Oh, but he'll be back. The both of them will be back. No matter how many times they call us Hitlerville or try to compare us to ATGS, or try to say they're better than us, we know that they're only lying to themselves.
I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012

I saw those Dick Clark pics a good two weeks ago. We don't quite know how old they are, but knowing what I know about strokes, you don't quite get cured from them overnight. So perhaps this is the Dick we're getting Saturday night.

As Mark so astutely pointed out in the other thread, we probably have quite a few that could vie for that honor.

Meanwhile, I giggle every time I drive by "Dick's Sporting Goods", so I'm perhaps not the best person to pass judgment.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

Here's what may be deemed a "Captain Obvious" statement.  KYW's Eyewitness News had a small report on Dick Clark's condition and Ryan Seacrest was cited as saying that Dick Clark sounds different.  Last I checked, most people who have a stroke are gonna sound a little different.  Of course, if you're like Harry Caray and you pound down some Budweiser, your mileage in difference goes through the roof.

If I may break into the mudslinging and X-rated jokes... ;-)

I just heard the something similar from my station. They said he's expected to actually make a speech at "New Year's Rockin Eve" and shouldn't be in a wheelchair. If I can find a link I'll post it.

And we all know this is true b/c they have ME as an employee! No one at WVEC knows how to bowl. :-P

And back to the slinging....your mom watches TTD90.

Back to the pictures -- this past Sunday's (12/25) St. Petersburg Times had a cover of Seacrest, his co-host (don't know name) and Dick Clark on the cover of their TV magazine -- with Dick standing.

A couple of days later, the Times apologised for the picture, saying that the photo came from a press release, with Dick doctored in from an earlier photo (by ABC, not the Times), with the Times running it without knowing all the facts abvout the picture.

Because life is always better when Dick is standing tall.

(Sorry. Couldn't resist. I admit that it's awfully penile purile humor. :))
