Perhaps this has already been seen, but WHYY PBS in Phila. is airing the season premiere of Antiques Roadshow tonight(1/9). Mark L. Walberg announces at the top of the show that he is the new host.

Nope.  It was new tonight.

(And I thought that you, of all people, would know that!)

Yeah Zach, really. I've known about Mark's new gig for a week now but didn't say anything since I thought for sure someone already posted about it. Most other PBS stations begin (began?) the new season tonight also.

Here's an interview with Mark about his thoughts on being the new host of Roadshow.

And there was no mention of Mark L.'s new gig when it announced in TV Guide last month!  TVG, for the record, jeered ARS for the selection, citing his "work" on Temptation Island.  I take it they never saw him on Russian Roulette.

If they did, it was offset by whatever they saw of Free-4-All.

Oh, and don't forget his involvement in such spectacular shows such as the original Shop 'Til You Drop, The Big Date and that fantastic ESPN show Burnt Toast.

Something tells me Mark would like to forget these shows.  But hey, gotta start somewhere, right?

Does anyone remember his show on PBS "Star Challenge"?
