Canada: Le Cercle hidden-camera prank

Popular hidden-camera show Surprise Sur Prise will be reborn on TVA this coming Sunday at 7:30 PM. The show plays pranks on celebrities, and the premiere episode has a game show-related segment.

Paul Arcand is a famous TV interviewer, known for tackling explosive topics on his weekly TV show and on his 4.5-hour weekday morning radio show. His son, Jean-Philippe, will be a contestant on popular game show Le Cercle, which I posted about before. Jean-Philippe will perform particularly well as a contestant, until one of his opponents accuses him of benefiting from special treatment due to his son-of-celebrity status. The situation will continue backstage, where an infuriated Paul Arcand will threaten to sue the woman for diffamation.

This should prove a most enjoyable segment for game show fans.

One might suggest that the accusatory contestant was being a "Le Cercle" jerk.
