[quote name=\'Blaq\' date=\'Jan 16 2006, 08:39 AM\']The Toronto Star's Vinay Menon has just posted a vicious -- e.g. accurate -- review of You Bet Your Ass:

Another lame TV game show

Let's fair-use the first two paragraphs:

It's one of the most disturbing phrases in the English language: "Canadian game show."

Three words and then suddenly an onslaught of fuzzy, disjointed memories: musty panels of newspaper columnists, partial licence plates, maternal bake-offs, bowling escapades, grocery store hijinks, chain reactions.

-------------

I can name all but two of what he's referring to (and one there is a dead giveaway--and yes, there was a Canadian version of *that* other show).  I have a feeling there are non-Canucks here who can name them all.

Of course, that last show was "Definition."  :)

I'm disappointed they didn't shoehorn Pitfall in there. :)

If this show makes it, do you think it will be the subject of a book by Hector Arse?
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

I'm guessing someone thinks we're all Canadian.

I'm putting $10 on "someone meant to hit 'add reply' but hit 'new topic' by mistake," Jim.

At the very least, someone should have hit 'add reply'.  Whether he meant to or not would seem to be another matter.

I'll give him this:  He's right about Sitara.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.
