If you read the WHOLE story, it talks about the contestants and some of the stops along the way.  However, it did not tell the public the winner.

How was he supposed to know you all discussed this TWO MONTHS ago? Not everyone diligently checks through the entire archive to see if it's been talked about before.

Any excuse to snipe at someone, huh?

While I agree with you, it wouldn't hurt if people made a cursory check more often. And in this case, the story would have been found on the first page of hits.

It's really common courtesy, and this isn't the first time Atkins has done this. But, again, I agree with the sentiment.

Myself, I think TAR has run its course and will be decimated by Sunday Night Football.  Since it has no rerun value, and looks costly to produce, there is no reason to continue the show after this season.

I don't know about that...although I'll be flipping stations, especially later in the season, I am really not the same demographic who  watches TAR. I bet they'll get a lot of people watching who could care less about the point value of a safety.

I'm sure glad I have a dual tuner DVR.......With one of my new favorites (Cold Case) running up against Sunday Night Football...

Excuse me Mr. Lemon, my new story was an update of TAR for the cycle.  All I ever seen before is TAR was moving to Sun starting at 8 pm ET.  In my post, the reporter told me what are going to see, the backward trip, starting with Seattle and going to the Pacific, with stops in Vietnam and Kuwait.  Did someone told the group about this last week or earlier?  If so, then I will be remouse to say "I sorry" to his (or her) text face.

The matter is closed...for now.

Well it may or may not stay there the entire season...the buzz is that "Jericho" might be the first casualty of the season, and that could leave a Tuesday night at 8 slot open..My worry isn't the NFL game actually. It's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition that's the main competition for TAR's audience....but they have pictures of the teams up, (http://\"http://tv.ign.com/articles/719/719128p1.html\") and I think this is the show's strongest cast in a while...and it's really popular overseas, so that might mitigate some of the cost issues.

Excuse ME, Mr. Atkins, but IIRC, you told us that you would try to give yourself a fresh start, which IMO includes being argumentative with other members.

It's obvious from that that you have no hope of changing.

Thanks, but I can handle my own arguments.

Then I have two questions:

1) If that was the case, why did you topic it with just the change in day and time?

and

2) Did you check to see if it was mentioned before? Be honest. Did you bother? I'm betting no, because if you did, you would have clarified with a better topic.

Here's what I suggest as a means to avoid all of this criticism: instead of just posting a link, offer a short synopsis along with it as to why you felt it was worth posting. 'Cuz all we have here is your link and the "Show changes times" headline, which we already knew.

[mutes weaklink75]  Not unless you want to move NCIS--Jericho is a Wednesday show.  But after looking at the rest of the networks' lineups, 8:00 Wednesday would be wide open once Dancing with the Stars ends.  And I do agree Jericho has as much chance of counterprogramming the World Series as the Kansas City Royals do of playing in it (in other words, squadoosh).

TAR is huge internationally, to the point where they are licencing the format off.

Its a staple of "Living2" here each weeknight at 9pm even for new seasons.

Thats probably why its still in production, money from broadcasters over seas.

Well, hopefully this won't impact The Amazing Race in regards to ratings. Otherwise... well, can you say "The Amazing Race: Celebrity Edition"? I knew you could.

I seriously doubt it. Phil strikes me as the kind of guy who Gets It. I gotta think he at least has a little of he producer's ears, and CBS is slightly more beholden to Bruckheimer Television than JBTV is to CBS, considering JBTV produces all three CSI's, Without A Trace, and Cold Case, in addition to TAR.

Among the numerous bad ideas that one could come up with, this might not be nearly as bad as many others.  Getting twenty or so willing participants might be a tall order (though in today's anybody's-a-celebrity culture, maybe not), but I see some real positives to a celebrity edition of this.

Well, they already had their bad idea -- Family Edition.

They came back to their bread and butter for the race after that and had another strong season, schedule change aside.

I doubt they're going to stray from the tried-and-true any time soon.

They might try having one celebrity team, if there's anyone out there who wants to do it (and I had seen somewhere that Neil Patrick "Suit Up!" Harris wants to be on the show)--after all, the season with semi-celebs (and that's generous) Bahstan Rahb and Ahmbah was their best ratings season--but I don't think they'll ever do an all-celeb edition.
