Someone told me there was a Jeopardy! category last week where an entire category was devoted to The Hollywood Squares...specifically the Peter Marshall version. Anyone know anything about this one, or better yet record it?

According to the J! Archive (http://\"http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=1254\"), this would have been the Thursday, September 21st game. I don't have it, but the link above will take you to the answers in that category.

I did record it, but don't have the tape handy at the moment, tragically. I'll let you know you when I find it.

Uh, nice word selection there, chief.

Notice, by the way, that the bottom three questions were triple stumpers. I'm somewhat surprised that no one got Rose Marie, but the other two aren't such shockers. I'm sure most of us know the answers, but relative young'uns with no particular interest in game shows and/or TV history wouldn't likely know Charley Weaver and George Gobel.
How many of these contestants could even name the host of the original show or remember a version before Davidson's?

True that, but through Charley Weaver's bloodlines, we did get Rosanna Arquette (and yes, her other siblings as well).

Let's play Play the Percentages... What percentage of your posts are really just snide remarks rather than actually enhance the discussion?

I found it!
Dixon, if you'd like a copy of the episode, I'd be more than happy to help you out.

As you go ahead and make one.
If that's considered a snide remark...that's news to me. Generally, you don't associate the word "tragedy" with not having a game show tape handy.
But if you want to go ahead and let people use vocabulary poorly, fine by me.

The saddest thing, Mark, is that you truly don't have the first inkling of what an utter ass you look like right now.

Sorry, but I'm disagreeing on this one. Not that I'm his spokesman, but I don't think Allstar meant it was literally a tragedy that he didn't have a tape. It would've been no different than him saying "Sadly, I didn't have a tape". I don't think it was a poor choice of words at all.

GOBEL! That's who I was thinking of when I asked whether George Jessel had appeared on the show.

Mark, shut the hell up. Iscugv didn't make a snide remark. You did.
Do yourself a favor and stop snarking just to snark, and add to the discussion once in a while.
You have to be part of the reason why all the new quasi-intelligent posters fear being flamed. Knock it off.
