Title: Bullseye Game Debuts 4/13
Post by: davewalls on April 05, 2007, 05:54:58 PM
Upon launching another game of Countdown on wedigtv.com, I noticed the new banner that states that the broadband game version of "Bullseye" (UK version) will be launching next Friday, the 13th. Considering the high quality of games they already have, like Countdown, Blockbusters, etc..this should be another fine addition.

I'm looking forward to it. This has become one of my favorite sites to visit and play at.

Just a bump to say it's up.  And is easier (IMHO) than Countdown.  And it's darts.  Wow.

There's also a commercial for another upcoming game.  There's only one thing I'll say.

JOE PASQUALE

Wheee.

Do you have to sign up before you can play?

I can't get anything to show up in Opera -- and I've set my site preferences to allow plugins like %@$!$!@$ Flash and Java, and set it to each of the browser ID preferences, and all I get is a large empty rectangle.

I didn't have to sign up. From time to time, I get a gray square as the game loads.

It's quite addictive.

I'd try downloading the latest version of Flash through Opera.

Even though the audio mixing is kind of poor, if you listen closely, the announcer is actually pretty funny when doing the prize descriptions. For instance, when describing an electronic typewriter:

"Hate a manual typewriter, but afraid about what a computer might do to your brain?"

Only one complaint that I can find with the game..it seems to miscalculate the number of darts in the bonus round. If you select 4 darts, it only gives you 3.  With 5 darts, you get 4, etc...

Still, a welcome addition to their lineup. Heck, the gameplay is good enough that I might not get the urge to choke Joe Pasquale...at least, not right away.

Agreed on the humor. There was some funny stuff in there about just what the heck you use nested tables for, "fine" wine, etc.

But on the latter complaint, are you sure you aren't just being stopped early because it's not feasible to get 101 anymore? I can't say I've run into that "problem" other than in that instance.

The problem, it turned out, was that the site was using an IFRAME, and the Flash was being served from another domain.  So I had to set that site to accept plug-ins.

Unfortunately, while it was downloading the Flash, I got a warning that a script in the Flash was taking up too much memory and it might slow down my system.  Ignoring the warning slowed Opera to a crawl, so I wasn't able to get to the game anyhow....

Good thought, but in the last game I played, I had 85 points with one dart supposedly remaining when the game stopped.

Hey, if this is all there is to nitpick, it's still a great game. :)

In addition to Pasquale TPiR, they're also bringing out Deal or No Deal.
