Just in case it matters, the special got a 3.2/5 in the first hour, and a 4.6/7 in the second hour. 4.6/7 is pretty darn respectable for the WB, if you ask me.

For a Sunday night, even. I imagine they're ecstatic.
Anybody have an idea what \"Charmed\" usually pulls in that slot?

I think they sold advertisers on the notion of a 10, if I read and remember correctly. When I read it at the time, I said they were dreaming.

OT, but I noted that in the \"Valkyrie Vixens\" promo for \"Charmed\" the stars of the show are referred to by that testosterone-powered WB voice-over as \"Holly Marie, Rose and Alyssa\"--not by their character names. Seems to me that the \"Dawson's Creek\" stars weren't called \"James and Katie\" in the promos or that the \"Gilmore Girls\" aren't called \"Lauren and Alexis.\" What gives here?
ObGameShows: Seems to me Alyssa Milano did \"Double Dare\" back in her \"Who's the Boss?\" days.

Actually my guess is that it's the pubescent boys doing the pulling in most cases. :)

Real simple. \"Gilmore Girls\" and \"Dawson's Creek\" are character driven. Nobody knew who the hell Alexis Blydel or James van der Beek was before they had those roles. (Really, of the entire casts of both shows, Lauren Graham was the closest thing to a bona-fide star, and I only knew her from a few shots on NewsRadio.) So they're gonna get more viewers by hinting at what Dawson and Rory are up to this week.
On the other hand, I'll watch \"Charmed\" sometimes on a Sunday night if I've emptied out the Tivo by then. And I watch it ENTIRELY as eye candy. I not only don't know the character names of the three sisters, I don't CARE. :) I'm there to watch them Be Hot for an hour, and if there ends up being a storyline behind the hotness, bonus.

WB had predicted a 10 rating according to this article: Ad Age (http://\"http://www.adage.com/news.cms?newsId=38333\")
