Reflexive Arcade has released a new PC game: CONCENTRATION!!!!!
The game is an official edition of the popular game with new prizes, puzzles, look, and cars for the modern age.
The format is based on Classic Concentration with the "Winner's Circle" bonus round included, even you can change the look of the door to 3 styles. I recommend you try the game and see for yourself!!!!!
Click here (http://\"http://www.reflexive.com/Concentration.html\") to download a 30-minute trial!!!
My Grade for the game: A+ (enough to buy the full version) :-)

Interesting. I'll have to bend some ears and see if we can get that up on MSN.

I hope Reflexive Arcade makes a Mac OS X version of this game.

They do, it's called "Parallels." :)

Nice work on the game! I downloaded the half-hour test version, and am seriously considering a purchase.
Me being an old(er) phart, though ... I really really wish someone would do the old 30-square version, and not try to over-update it. But of course, there are only about seven people who would buy it.

Just so it's clear, that's not his work, that's a commercial product. Reflexive Arcade is a portal, just like the PC Download section at MSN Games, for free-trial-but-pay-for-the-whole-thing PC games.

Being a huge Classic Concentration fan, I got a real kick out of the game. It was well designed, stayed true to the original format, and though "updated," it was not so modernized that it lost its identity (it even had some of the old sound fx!). It's interesting they used the best 2 out of 3 format, my least favorite of the CC formats during its run. I don't remember any other CC electronic game using the 2 out of 3 format, except the one released for the NES.
However, this all made me wonder. NBC still owns the production and distribution rights (quite obvious noting the message about licensing from Universal in the pre-game credits, and the various Universal and GE prizes in the game itself), to Concentration, IIRC, and this is an official version of the game. Would I be too optimistic to be believing NBC is not only trying to earn a buck by releasing a home game version of a format they've been doing nothing with for years, but also actually considering trying Concentration in this form out in the near future on the network?

Great game.
Couple of interesting things I found while browsing around the program folder:
- All the rebuses (?) have their individual pictures in a zip folder.
- If we can figure out a way to convert a MP3 file to an OGG file, you can change the music to the Concentration theme of your choice.

Nero 7's Wave Editor. I converted an MP3 of the Narz Concentration theme to OGG about a minute ago.

Oh man, is this cool. It even has the Classic Concentration number boxes.
The theme music is irritating. I believe someone already mentioned a way to fix that though.
-
Man, I think FF Online Party is gonna have to take a backseat to this one.
Great graphics, quality rebuses, and an overall faithful rendition. I just may have to buy this one.

If I can find anything to complain about in the game, it's that "skate" that they've put into the end game. When you uncover it, you know immediately not to go back to that space; on the series, a nervous contestant just seeing text & no graphics might be inclined to go back.
Other than that, very nice adaptation. I give it four Schrute Bucks.

Well put, Adam.

Guess I don't get the luxury of "try before you buy". After I download the game and open it, it won't let me past the Buy Now/Play Now screen. I click Play Now, the screen disappears, then reappears. Lather, rinse, repeat until my frustration reaches its peak and I delete the game. Anyone else have this happen to them?

YES!
Frustrating, indeed.
I wonder why it's doing that?

UPDATE:
We purchased it the other day, and we're very happy with it. Lots of fun, very good graphics. One slight beef -- a couple of the puzzles, of the dozen-or-so we've played, have been inferior to what might have been used on the show. For instance, a table standing for the word "able". But that's a small beef. This is fun, and 20 bux well spent.
I also changed the music to the Narz "Concentration" theme. Much better! And thanks for the directions.
