Does anyone know the first actual game show that was featured on another TV Show?
I know of several sitcoms of the 50s which had characters appearing on some "mock" game shows (i.e. Ralph Kramden on 'The $99,000 Answer'), but I have on tape a "Sgt. Bilko" ep from the mid 50s in which Fred Gwynn's character was a contestant on "The $64,000 Question" as an expert on birds.
Would "Bilko" be the first show to do it? It even looked like they shot the scenes on the actual $64k set and used the actual music cues as well.

I thought Kramden was on the real BTC set as well. Not fictional, but "Matinee in New York" in 1952 featured "Winner Take All."

There was a 1954 Jackie Gleason Show sketch where Ralph and Alice appear on Beat the Clock. BTC aired right before Jackie's show on Saturday night and did a special Honeymooners themed episode that night as well. The Bilko episode aired in 1956. Unless there was an instance of a character appearing on a game show on some obscure early 50s show with no existing episodes, I can't really think of an earlier occurance.
