Family Feud is embracing their classic roots even more by the introduction of a new logo. You can see it by clicking here. (http://\"http://flashgameshows.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2007/06/faimlyfeudlogo.jpg\") The word art is gone and a new, more classic-looking logo is taking its place. Also, I'm hearing from people at the tapings that the family portrait area is getting 70s looking furniture. The new season debuts in mid-September.

Nice...will there be yet another set update to match the logo, i.e. the blue game board?
-
Much better than last season's ugly logo from last year. Good to see they are still going with the retro look. I thought after last season they would have gotten rid of it. I guess I was wrong.

It's not a bad logo....looks like someone was just trying way too hard in Photoshop, but it's not bad.

I think it's great, personally. Modernized, but with a nod to the classic logo. Brilliant.
-
Looks good to me, too. Now, if they could just get somebody to make the set look less like a piņata exploded all over it...

To each their own I guess. Still a step up from the WordArt logo from this past season, but I can't get past the feeling they just wanted to cram in as many layer effects from Photoshop as possible.

Then you should probably realize that 99% of the world have no idea how Photoshop works and therefore aren't going to have that feeling.

And if 99% of the world are happy with the logo and couldn't give a rat's ass about Photoshop effects, then more power to them. I'm only saying that *I* think they were just trying to cram effects in, and am not overly thrileld with the logo.
Maybe actually seeing the logo in use on the show will change my mind on it, who knows. Still miles better than the WordArt logo.
-
I like it a lot. I assuming there will be an animated version, perhaps with the lights blinking it the background. I just hope they stick with it for more than one season.
-
The logo looks pretty good, except for that weird-ass "y"; it looks like it says "FAMILy FEUD".
-
Are we past the point where there's any credence to speculation that a nod-to-retro logo could mean a nod-to-retro theme?
-
Speculation can end, I believe. According to some audience members I heard from, the set and music stayed the same.
-
What about the posters in the crowd? The show CANNOT survive without the posters in the crowd!
-
I'm impressed. Looks really sharp. Now for them to ditch that stupid "audience in the round" concept.....
/Studio 33 at CBS will be available for awhile now....

All I can Say is "I LIKE IT!!"

I suppose you could look at it that way... but at least they've avoided last year's complaint that the logo was too simple :)
(I liked last year's' fine. After all, the original show used the couldn't-be-plainer Fast Money board lettering as a sort of secondary logo, even, I believe, using it on stuff like the home game where the stitched letters would have been just as easy. But the new one just feels right.)

Nice.

I like the logo, but it would only be the cherry on top if I heard the classic theme. Hell, I'd settle with the 94 theme.

Too bad about the music...personally, I think the 94 theme would be a good fit for the current version...modernized, yet still gives a nod to the "classic" era they're trying to recapture.

We'd need a digitalized 70s Richard Dawson hosting, although I'm told holographic kisses just aren't as sweet.
Seriously, great logo. Now that I'm back in academia full-time, I can take some time to enjoy game shows on TV and this forum again, come late August.
