Title: In the hardware store...
Post by: catkins522 on December 20, 2009, 10:58:04 AM
As I went down to the hardware store looking for a new door handle, I found this.  Master Lock had a number/letter combination lock called "Password Plus".  It was trademarked, so no one can touch them.  So much doing a revivial...

Did the packaging say anything about being more than Password? :)

Aah, yes...the Password Plus Master Lock.  We sold those under that name at Lowe's.  Now, those locks are now sold as:  'Set Your Own Words & Numbers Combination Lock'.  Apparently, an entertainment lawyer (working for Fremantle) happened to stumble across this lock at a hardware store and sent a 'cease & desist' order to the Master Lock Co., asking them to stop marketing the lock as 'Password Plus'.
