Title: TTTT having someone else identify the real person

I remember numerous occasions on the 1969-78 version of TTTT where, instead of asking, "Will the real John Smith please stand up," they had a person connected with John Smith's story come out and identify him. Did they do that very often on the later versions? I don't remember it happening on TTTT '80 or 2000 at all, and I remember one story on TTTT '90 where it would make sense, but I don't actually recall the reveal. (A guy discovered that he had a son when he returned to a tropical area.)
