Monty always said that it was a random number that was chosen, but the odds are not terribly astronomical that it could pick a person who had already been chosen to play a game earlier in the show...did this ever happen?

I thought I remember seeing it once.

I remember seeing a couple of lucky contestants who got two chances to make a deal because of Door 4. They usually did Door #4 after the first deal, either before or after the first commercial break, probably to decrease the probability of a repeat contestant.

It happened on today's(12/17) GSN airing from November(?) 1984. A man won $600 in the first deal, and then was picked after the second deal and spun the Door #4 Wheel(in the Double Deal Wheel format), and won another $500.
