Hi all,
In case anyone is interested, thanks to episode guides and previous DVDs, I've been able to figure out the episode numbers for the following shows:
Match Game '78 (Primetime Buzz-6/1)-#1169, #1170 (aired accidentally in reverse order)
Match Game '78 (Daytime Buzz-6/2)-#1141, #1142
Blockbusters-#100
Body Language-#160
Child's Play-#80
If anyone knows where there's an episode guide for Dawson Family Feud, we could figure that one out.
Tattletales, Super Password, Press Your Luck and Card Sharks all started from episode 1.

The FF eps are from 1980, from a couple of the posts in the Buzzr thread. Giles/Tack was the first taped episode of 1980 (OAD: 2/7/80). Hatley/Bugbee was ep 80-29 (OAD: 3/18/80).
Fortunately, it was the 1980-81 eps I was keeping track of when the eps aired on GSN (I get a little more than halfway through 1981 before GSN cycled back, and I don't have much else as far as airdates).

Doug, let me give you some samples of daytime Family Feud episodes I can come up with from 1979:
First $300 to win episode: 79-026(aired March 6, 1979)
Celebrities and their Real Life Families: 79-106 thru 79-112(aired May 14-22, 1979)
Sammy Davis, Jr.'s appearance: 79-132(aired August 1, 1979)
Caryn Lucas as fill-in host: 79-164(aired September 14, 1979)
Hatfield's vs. McCoy's week: 79-196 thru 79-200(aired November 12-16, 1979)
Howard Felsher as fill-in host for a segment: 79-050(aired April 9, 1979).

Thanks for that. Couple more from 1979 that I do have access to: the three eps leading up to Xmas Day are 79-231 (Cusick/Espinosa), 232 and 233 (234 aired on Xmas Day). And New Year's Day 1979 was ep 78-236.
I have a few scattered 1983s as well.
You sure the Celebrities and their Real Life Families airdates are right? Just doing simple math, 79-106 should've aired 6/26/79, not 5/14. (Unless they aired out of order, which is certainly plausible.)

I had the Sammy Davis Jr episode of Feud airing Aug 5, 1979. Do you think there might have been some pre-emptions that pushed the dates off a bit?
Considering it's a new network I'm a little surprised they didn't start every show from episode No. 1. In many cases, shows started slow before they found their groove. You'd think once they pick up more viewers they'd want those episodes to air rather than presumably cycling back to the start.

Do we know whether the first season(s) of "Let's Make a Deal" exist? It would be interesting to watch the show evolve toward costumed audience members.
And is there any way to know what years we're currently seeing of the show? The credits don't display a copyright year.

Based on what I've read over at Game Show Paradise, probably the 1971-72 season (the first syndicated year). Three of the Season 1 shows were repeats of ABC primetime episodes, easily distinguishable from the syndie shows by the use of a yellow/green curtain behind the audience instead of a blue one.
Do we know whether the first season(s) of "Let's Make a Deal" exist? It would be interesting to watch the show evolve toward costumed audience members.
From what I can tell, not much outside of UCLA/Paley Center's holdings. The earliest episode that seems to circulate is the second ABC daytime show (12/31/68).

The entire NBC primetime run from 1967 and a few daytime episodes from scattered years exist in the Library of Congress, and a couple of episodes exist in the Paley Center collection. Other than that the NBC version of LMAD is pretty much wiped out.
