In brief...
Got called down to spin the big wheel...
First player hit $1.00...
I got $.70 on my first spin...and, by mere millimeters, I got $.30 on my second spin...ONE DAAALLLAAAAHHHHH!!
And I won the spinoff!
Nice night at the Horseshoe Casino in Tunica...amazing hosting by Todd Newton, spectacular announcing/pronouncing by Randy West and sharing the experience with my bestie Chris Holland!

Nice. What does that pay on the live show?

Live show plays altered format - 5 IUFB, winner plays pricing game, losers get T-Shirts. 4 new contestants for each IUFB. 1 Showcase Showdown, 3 new contestants. 1 Showcase, 2 new contestants. Show lasted ~90 minutes, dictated by size/layout of the venue.
Showcase Showdown - First dollar = $100, Second dollar = $5000, Green Section = $500, High Spinner = $250 bonus
Showcase - closest bid w/o going over won one of the prizes in the showcase; $100 or less from ARP wins entire showcase. At our show it was 2 trips, a kitchen, car; One contestant was within $100 but over :(
Todd and Randy were a good pairing, lots of banter with the contestants, audience, each other. They definitely made Drew/George look awkward by comparison.
A good time was had by all at the Redneck Riviera, would do again

$1.00 paid $100 plus a bonus spin for a chance at $5,000...
Winning the Showdown awarded $250, so I will receive $350 total.

I was beyond impressed with both the hosting and announcing and their interaction throughout was really great...as much as I have defended CBS's choice of Drew Carey over the years, while I understand their reasoning, they made a mistake not picking Todd Newton...his hosting was effortless and he kept us laughing and engaged throughout...and he and Randy make a great team...

Sounds like a lot of good reasons to go check this out! I can't imagine how insane the place gets if somebody manages to win $5,000 on the wheel.

It really was a good time...being that it was not for broadcast, both Todd and Randy can be a bit freer and a bit bawdy, bringing lots of laughs...plus having no real time constraints lets them have fun...which was often necessary because several contestants took their sweet time coming down, some from the balcony...
And I can say that my Showcase Showdown was particularly exciting since it had two $1.00 spins and my two-spin win was a shocker because everyone expected the wheel to click past the $.30 but it miraculously held...the crowd reaction was amazing!
EDIT: Punch-A-Bunch gave the show an exciting start because it offered a top prize of $5,000 (one slip) and a 2nd prize of $1,000...the contestant pulled the $1,000 on her first punch and, thankfully, she kept it since here other two punches only yielded $100 each...

The show comes down to Atlantic City every spring i am going to have to take some time off and go see it! Last year it was Jerry Springer.
I think if Bob retired in the early 2000s when Todd was hosting Whammy i think he would got the hosting job imo.

Well, I think that in my opinion, I think that your opinion is an opinion that I think has no basis in reality, in my humble opinion.
(I think.)
