To me, I see a few subtle nods to the past in advance of the 50th birthday: the simplicity of Woolery's puzzle border, the "crown" from Pat's era, then the modern puzzleboard. The gold inner border kinda reminds me of the old wheel's alternating lights (https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/wheeloffortunehistory/images/6/68/Late_Season_1_King_World_Logo.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/732?cb=20240229235543).

All in all, I love it. The "million colors of light" board was nice but was missing something IMO.

It's nice, but it also looks like it could be the plastic surround for a theoretical electronic handheld Wheel of Fortune.

I'm surprised they bothered to change the wheel configuration for the junior edition.  TDV of $700...lol.

Looks like they got rid of all 50s to make the math easier.

Fine and good until you have to buy a vowel!

Correct; vowels cost $200 as well.

Agreed. I know the weekly themes were there to customize the board area weekly, but I think game shows should embrace gaudy and have some flair.
