Title: Johnny O/Rod Roddy Question

Hope somebody can confirm this.

I had heard a story years ago that when Johnny O. was announcing, Rod Roddy was in the audience for a show and wanted to get into announcing. Johnny apparently gave him some advice.

Can anyone verify this?

While I am not sure if Rod ever worked with Johnny, there is another game show announcer that did work with Johnny, and was inspired when seeing him during a taping of Snap Judgment.

It was indeed true; Rod himself confirmed it on-air during a Johnny O. tribute they did during TPiR's 20th Anniv. Week in 1991.
