Did Peter mention on-air about Rod getting the announcing gig on TPIR?

 Good question. I do know that for the two weeks Charlie O'Donnell filled in for Rod in 1986 (quite possibly due to a Price Is Right taping conflict), Peter simply mentioned that he was "filling in for Rod".

It's really hard to guess.  Part of me wants to say no since TPIR and PYL were from different production companies and they probably wouldn't want to promote another company's show.  On the other hand, since CBS ran both shows, it is possible that PYL wanted to plug another CBS show (although TPIR probably didn't need much "plugging" by that time).

The Price is Right has been mentioned on PYL several times. As for the question, I'm not sure.
