If this has been mentioned already, just let me know that Woolery left Wheel and we'll move on. :)
I noticed that the picture in the backdrop is moving (for example, on tonight's show, the leaves are blowing in the wind)...
Is this something new for this season, or has it been like that for awhile?

I'm pretty sure it's been like that, since I have seen people walking in the background before.

It was actually detailed in a press release. Harry Friedman made some statement about how the backdrops would be moving and so forth.
A quick archival search will prolly pull it up, so don't quote me, but I think this facet debuted with the ASTOUNDING rainbow of wacky colors.

I think I remember reading about some sort of amazing, new technology last season that let them broadcast live video footage on the wall. How exactly that would qualify as "amazing" or "new" is beyond me...but then again, this is Wheel we're talking about.
