Aladdin has just knocked on your door and granted you the wish of a night on the town (paid for by the Love Connection producers with no Dating Game chaperone in sight) with the female game show personality of your choice. Or for the benefit of the fair sex a dream date with a male game show personality. Or for the benefit of same-sex daters a dream night with a game show personality you've got the hots for. Who would you choose? Now remember. Don't go choosing more than one or your wish won't come true.
ADDED A FEW DAYS LATER TO STAKE MY CLAIM: I'd go for Beverly Bentley, who replaced Roxanne "mug for the camera as you walk offstage" Arlen on Beat The Clock. I've always wanted to score with a lady in black and white.
-
Assuming Aladdin (or his genie friend) has the power to muck about with the time-space continuum so that I'm not actually fifteen years old when I go out on this date, the first Game Show Gal that got a rise out of me (so to speak...) was Heather Cunningham from The Big Showdown.
-
Teresa Ganzel.
-
I think this thread should be renamed "The N2Nuno Memorial Thread". :)
I'm gonna lay claim to Brooke Burns, just because I can. ;)
-
The nice thing about this is according to IMDB, age difference wouldn't be much of a problem. My 21-year-old self would ask Aladdin to head back to 1981 and fetch 21-year-old Jan Speck from the set of Treasure Hunt. (There's actually a girl here at Marshall who bears a striking resemblence to Jan, but sadly, the Aladdin scenario seems a lot more likely.)
-
I've got Brianne Leary.

Now, now, Chris... no one here has publicly and proudly declared himself or herself a stalker. (Yet.)
As for my choice? Markie Post.
-
Debbie Bartlett. And I'll try to make every second count...
-
Do I even have to remind you all of my choice*?
*And if I DO, the answer is Claudia Jordan, you senile idiot. ;-)
-
Oy! Why did this question have to wait until now, when I'm engaged to a beautiful woman, to come up? :-)
Ah, heck with it. I'm sure she will understand.
My choice would be Kennedy.
After the date, would we be Friend or Foe? Heck if I know! :-D
-
My pick is Stacey from Lingo just because she's blonde(whistles flirtingly).
-
My choice would be Gail Sheldon. She wowed me on Gene's BTC and as a panelist on WML? Then when I found out thought GSN reruns she was on Bill's TPIR too, well that was the icing on the cake. Attractive and intelligent.
-

....but the point is that you ARE engaged to a beautiful woman. Therefore, I'm taking your choice, because Kennedy was my first choice as well....
...either her or Susan Stafford, just coz she knows how turn m....letters on! ;-)
-
OK, I'll pick Icey ("Cram") if only because she's the current spokesmodel for St. Pauli Girl beer, and the free beer should save some money.
Yeah, I'm a cheap date.
-
My pick would be The Lovely Holly Hallstrom, preferably about the time (late 1981) that she was on the syndie MG episodes that GSN was showing this past weekend. (Works for me, since I was 22 at the time.)
Esoteric Eric, who taped many moons' worth of TPIR before realizing Holly wasn't coming back to the show (didn't have Internet access in those days...)
-
I'll go for the lovely Marjorie Goodson.
Doug
-
Under the "going back in time" thing, my pick would be Sarah Kennedy. She's just so gosh-darned CUTE. :)
-
I'll take Lacey Pemberton, thank you very much.
-
Tiffany Bolton. Definately. If she can deal with 4 geeks and Blaine Capatch, she can handle me.
-

Yeah, but do you want what's left after four geeks and Blaine Capatch have gotten done with her? ;)
-
Probably the same thing the producers of the Showtime soft-core porn series "Black Tie Nights" did when they made her one of the "leads."
ObGameShow: Volleyball player and men's magazine covergirl Summer Altice was named after Summer Bartholomew, hostess of Sale of the Century.
-
I have to lean towards Debbie Bartlett--really don't have a good reason other than she just seemed more like a real person with a genuine niceness to her--very much a real girl-next-door who's gorgeous.
(When it comes to just having a beer and pizza and chewing the fat on almost anything, Peggy Cass would be my girl.)
-
Or for the benefit of the fair sex a dream date with a male game show personality.
Who else but Wayne Cox! (With Michael Burger as 'alternate choice.')
Cordially,
Tammy Warner--the 'Lynda Day George of the Big Board!'
-
Personally, I'd enjoy a date with either Barbara Lee Alexander (Straight To the Heart) or Sophie Falkiner (Aussie WoF).
Chuck Donegan (The Illustrious "Chuckie Baby")
-
Even if someone else has taken her, I'll lay claim to Summer Bartholomew. Easiest pick ever.
-
No one else mentioned her yet, so I'll go with Elaine Joyce from Match Game 7X.

She's a good choice too. As I said earlier in a post, my choice was Sarah Kennedy - I was trying to decide between her and Debralee Scott and decided to ultimately go with Sarah.

Here's my top 3.
1). VICKI LAWRENCE: She may have done Win Lose or Draw, but I love her spiteful additude as "Mama" Thelma Harper!
2). MARJORIE GOODSON: Classic Concentration babe who worked well with Pokey the dog!
3). ANNE ROBINSON: Gotta love that personality & witty remarks.
13). BETTY WHITE; OH NO!
(Cue Wizard of Oz bicycle theme cue)

Plus, Marjorie Goodson's already been spoken for. So has Debbie Bartlett. Thanks for watching and enjoy your parting gifts.

I remember having the hots (that may be an overstatement) for Ms. Ganzel. As a second choice, I wouldn't kick Mary Cadorette out of bed for eating crackers.

Might have to fight Brandon over it, but I'd go with Claudia Jordan. Beautiful woman, and by all accounts a very nice person, too.
-
How long does this date last? :)
Unless we can travel back in time, the current day game show gal I'd most love to entertain would be Ms. Rachel Reynolds.
Plenty of beautiful women back in the day as well, of course...

Tim

Kyle Aletter

My pick is Debralee Scott circa 1980. I'm a sucker for redheads. And she seemed like the, um, adventuresome type.

No, you misunderstand. By listing a second choice, I'm acknowledging that you called for her first.
-
Summer Sanders of "SandBlast" and "Figure It Out". I'd put her on the podium and give her my own gold medal, if you know what I mean.
-
Has anyone claimed Shane Stirling from TPiR yet? If not, then she's mine (as long as my wife isn't around to see this) :D
-
Since Susannah Williams hasn't been mentioned yet (surprisingly), I'll call dibs. (Yes, I know she's spoken for in real life--where GSN is now in the CBS CS run, she was still engaged.)

My pick would be Chantel Dubay.
Has it been 5 yrs since she left TPiR already? Can't believe I forgot her, else I would've added her to my potential GS date list. :-)
Chuck Donegan (The Illustrious "Chuckie Baby")

Here's my top 5, and most of them that i'm gonna list haven't been mentioned yet.
1. Jenny McCarthy (Singled Out)
2. Charlotte Arlt (TPiR: season 29)
3. Annie Wood (Bzzz!)
4. Kari Wuhrer (Remote Control)
5. Kathy Karges (Monopoly)
-

Nope. BZZZ! Sorry. According to the official fantasy rules, giving a list instead of a single name means you'll be playing solitaire with Cinemax After Dark tonight. No whoopie for you.

Back when "Smush" was in first run on USA, my choice was the latter clue in this Smush-inspired puzzle...
(card sfx)
Civil war figure that inspired the nickname for them Duke boys' car on "The Dukes of Hazzard"
+
"Smush"'s co-hostess/scorekeeper who later hosted NBC's "Race To The Altar"
Answer, for those playing along, is "General Lisa Dergan". (I think Mike Klauss remembers that puzzle).
Now that I'm engaged, this "Love Connection" thread is of no use to me. But still, one of the best threads yet!
-
With all of the people mentioned, I'm suprised that no-one wanted to get locked up in a Datsun with Lisa Donovan ;-p
