how come GSN didnt do an anniversary special on the Pyramid

 Because Pyramid doesn't get as big of ratings.

And this would be the 30th of $10,000 Pyramid, not $20,000 Pyramid. Besides, you'd wind up getting half of the single 100k season they air anyway.

Because as has been pointed out; GSN doesn't need to observe the anniversery of EVERY single show.  Complain enough and you might get your way.  Besides; it wasn't that long ago they did the Golden Pyramid Awards.

 I thought that *was* their Pyramid anniversary special....it aired in January, right?

March 2002 is when the Golden Pyramid awards aired.
