According to the Programming Insider,

"In addition, the syndicator will be announcing renewals for Live with Regis and Kelly and the underrated Who Wants to Be a Millionaire through the 2008-09 season."

Yes I know, I can't spell on this board.

Good for Meredith and Michael Davies.  And perhaps something for the other syndicators to think about for next year, since it's too late for this year...

And Davies talked to the Prof (*massive tune-outs by the anti-Steves*) and said Super is coming back, but _when_ being the real question, with the T&A extravaganza and "Lost" and "Extreme Makeover Home Edition" doing well.

After "Lost" and "Desperate Housewives" run out of new episodes, it might be a good idea to plug in "Millionaire" in those slots and release the two serials on DVD at season's end rather than repeat them in primetime.

I think Davies is smart holding SM back through at least the early part of the 2005-2006 season.  The only question is  where to fit that show if & when there are any spots available for it in summer runs starting in 2006(doubtful for 2005 but not impossible).

As for syndie Millionaire, Davies knew what he was getting in Meredith Vierra.  I think she's finally starting to get the feel for the show.  With another 4 years under its belt, Millionaire could concievably be a moderate classic if you call a 7-year run such.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if Millionaire has a postal address for general comments in regards to the program?

Ryan :)

I'm sorry, is this a reference to Desperate Housewives?  Because I can imagine it being called a great many things, but that's certainly not one of them.

I prefer Knots Landing: After Dark myself.

ObGameShow: Knots co-star Constance McCashin was a CBS Pyramid regular in the early-80s, and won about $2,000 on the 70s version.
