Friday's (2/4/05) edition of Inside Edition features Kirstie Alley during her appearance with Lucille Ball and Dick Martin on Password Plus.

Ah, those were the days when opposites were illegal, and the best clue to get Kirstie to say "fat" was "chubby", not "you".

Is anyone else frightened when they see her scream "FETTUCCINI!!!!!" on that Jenny Craig commercial? It's like when a dog shows its teeth, hahaha

My gawd you're right! I thought the same thing!
Oh, how the mighty have fallen...once a little hottie on Cheers....now, she really is oh so much more...

I'm just frightened she'll get a toy dog, name it Fettucine, and then mistakenly eat it.

So if they were to make "Drawn Together: The Movie", could we cast her as Toot Braunstein?
Was that joke too hip for the room? :)
-
First, damn, I ALMOST thought you were suggesting it was on GSN, ergo, PW+ being there again. But I do know our "friends" and killers of tradition there too well, so that hope was dashed before it even began.
Second...the comment about the commercial was funny, though I admit not to being that willing to jump on the "Kirstie is fat" jokes bandwagon. I guess I just think she's not THAT hideous (yeah, yeah, except when she is naming pastas ;-)). Now there ARE some negative-sized waifs that the media pushes down our throats as "hot" that I dread looking at even more, believe it or not. So no I don't pick one type of body type to admire or be repulsed by. Amazing, huh?
Edit: Chris, I do know what Drawn Together is indeed. I still, however, think that toy pet gags can't be better than the accurate spoof of Paris Hilton as the Stupid Spoiled Whore on South Park.
P.P.S. - speaking of the weight issues, did anyone ever see http://lardbiscuit.com (http://\"http://lardbiscuit.com\")? His story of Anna Nicole selling out because she used Trimspa is interesting. On one side you can say he's biased, on the other he's not quite as wacky as you'd think... (ObGameShow: ANS, both pre and post Trimspa, was on H2)

Hey, make no mistake, she's still a delightful woman, and Parker Stephenson is a very lucky guy. I think we're just pointing out that she clearly hasn't missed many meals between Cheers going off the air and today. :)
-
But according to the tabloids, she has missed the sex because Parker would need...c'mon folks, just picture it, will ya???

Then again, you can look at it as more cushion for...better stop before I get past PG-rated! (And I reiterate, sometimes that "cushion" isn't a bad thing :-))

Far be it from me pull a Zach Horan here, and farther be it from me to correct someone like Chris Lemon...but alas, Chris, unless I mistook your point here, Parker and Kirstie have been divorced since '97. Of course, if they've reconciled recently, I respectfully withdraw the correction.
Maybe he's lucky because he doesn't have to deal with her letting herself go...never mind. As one who is struggling with his weight, I know the feeling.
And I'm sorry to say this, but she looks like hell now, to tell you the truth.

That's a shame! I had not heard that, in fact.

We're just gonna agree to disagree, I think. The wacky dresses Pier One put her in for their ad campaign were hellish, but she is still an attractive woman, IMO.
-
And in case we've all forgotten why "IE" pulled out the clip, Kirstie's starring in her new Showtime one-camera sitcom called--ahem--"Fat Actress." (Supposedly, the producers had to change the pilot around and take out a rant on Jenny Craig after she signed for the spokesperson's gig with them.) Here's SHO's page on the show (http://\"http://www.sho.com/site/fatactress/home.do\"), complete with video--I must suppress my Sir Mix-a-Lot tendencies here...
-
Funny how Chris and I are agreeing so constantly, but again I will say I've seen MUCH WORSE. Then again, I do have a soft spot for several plus-size women (remind me to talk more about my obsession with Harriet Thorpe and Dawn French, both from the wonderful world of UK television, where they aren't always particular about body types)

Amen, Mr. Lemon! And you can add Sara Rue to MY list of so-called "plus-sized" actresses that I am quite enamored of. She may be on Less Than Perfect, but she looks just fine to me.
And Sara looks even better in the movie "Gypsy 83" where in one scene she ain't wearin' too much of nothin'.

And to bring this back to some semblance of on topic, she's been delightful in both of her appearances on Celebrity Poker Showdown, as well. :)
