To spice things up a bit, I wanted to jar some memories from people...Im techinically asking 1 question, but I have 5 different parts. Can you provide answers to the following question-

Does anyone have details (ie. set, hosting talents or lack thereof, format, ANYTHING) to the following pilots-

1. Sale of the Century (1990's, Robin Leach)

2. Name That Tune (1990's, Peter Allen)

3. Match game (1996, Charlene Tilton)

4. Card Sharks (1996, Tom Green)

5. Gambit (1990, Bob Eubanks)

BONUS- and the following shows-if there were any differences- Combs Feud, Hurley TTTT, Osmond Pyramid, Davidson TPIR....

I remember reading this one having no Instant Bargains.

Read that it was pretty bad, but one difference was that the celebrities revealed their answers first. Also, the celebs sat at individual desks.

All I remember is that it had 3 individual contestants and a $10,000 bonus round.

The Gambit pilot was basically the same from the classic series, but with these changes...

Two players instead of two couples

The questions also had an interesting format. For example...

Who hosted The Price is Right?
Bob Barker, Bill Cullen

Contestants rang in and determined if the answer was one of them, both of them, or neither of them. If it was one of them, they had to pick the right one. Of course, I shouldn't have to say that the correct answer in this case is both.

Other than that, the gameplay was much like the series, and the closest to 21 or the first to score 21 won the game.

The bonus round was also similar to the series. Contestants played against the house. They could keep cards themselves, or pass them to the house, and they win by scoring 21, or by busting the house.

You forgot to mention Family Feud 1998 with Dolly Parton. No it's not a joke. I believe that it WAS taped!

(and let me say right off, for the benefit of our younger regs, that the host is NOT the same person as the MTV comedian, but rather the former host of ESPN's 93-95 quizzer Sports On Tap)

The format saw two contestants trying to call their way across a 10-card pyramid...winner won $250 and the right to play a bonus round which wasn't the Money Cards, but more akin to TPiR's Shell Game, and it involved one or more video clips.

Oh, and the cards def weren't the huge ones we know and love...they were closer to the size of those used in TPiR's Card Game.

Since you brought up Dolly, I'd think it would have been the number 2...

(Yes I know the "5" was in reference to the # of questions)
