This Thanksgiving marks the 20th anniversary of what also turned out to be an early celebration of Valentine's Day.
Pat Sajak & Phylicia-Ayers Allen were the hosts of the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade that year. Following the parade was NFL '85 pre-game, with the New England Patriots visiting the Detroit Lions.
During the pre-game, Ahmad Rashad (future Caesar's Challenge host) looked nervous & sweaty while working the game @ the Pontiac Silverdome. Bob Costas wondered what's with his partner. Then Ahmad asked Bob to relay a message to the woman known as Mrs. Huxtable, "Phylicia, will you marry me?"
Then @ halftime, they brought Phylicia into the NBC Sports studio & she smiled & answered "Yes!"
They got married in 1986 & divorced in 2001.
When Johnny Mathis visited Ahmad on Caesar, Johnny presented him with a boxed CD set for Phylicia since she like his music.

Or if you compare to seeing a glass of water either half empty or half full, the last new network daytime game show.
