Title: Lingo Contestant Search
Post by: itiparanoid13 on December 07, 2005, 07:08:33 AM
I thought this would have been in around spring/summer 2006, but they're looking much faster than i ever expected.  Lingo's searching for contestants, ages 18-35 and it does not state on Craigslist that you have to live in LA, at (323) 769-6600.  Here's the part that interests me, on Craigslist, it states  "Compensation: Up to $10,000 plus opportunity for thousands more."  Are we going to be seeing another Tournament of Champions or some form of champion show?  Unless I am really not understanding this at all, it seems like we are.

Here's the Craigslist page. (http://\"http://losangeles.craigslist.org/tlg/116345737.html\")

If there is a ToC, I think the top prize will either be $25,000 or $50,000.

Hmmm...maybe the new episodes will be ready in time for February sweeps.

No such thing as sweeps in cable.  The only reason cable channels would be interested in sweeps is purely to sabotage broadcast channels.  "Lingo" is not exactly a deadly ratings weapon in the GSN arsenal, if they have any that can hurt broadcast networks.
