This morning while I was watching Password +, the next contestant turned out to be Leland! Does his face look familiar? Should be, he's also on Blockbusters 1/2 hour earlier. What are the odds that GSN would have two different game shows with the same contestant? Would be possible with Kirstie Alley on both Match Game & Password +.

This is one of those bits of minutiae which Zach likes spouting over and over (and thus is likely the only reason Chris and I recall the following). Sometime in 2000, between the 6 and 7 PM hour, GSN aired shows with the same contestant on The $100,000 Pyramid and Match Game 76.
I feel very dirty.

Hey, c'mon. That's actually a pretty decent question. I remain fascinated by the cultural curiosity that no one back in the 70s or 80s would even have thought that something like GSN would exist and would air these old shows again.
Similarly, I can remember on a couple of occasions seeing $20K and much later $25K Pyramid episodes reusing large quantities of main game material, often using the exact same punny category name and the exact same material in the exact same order. You can just hear Bob Stewart saying, "Hey, that was six years ago. Who's going to remember?"

Didn't it happen a few years ago when one of the family pair twins from Blockbusters was also a Senior Partner on Trivia Trap? I can't remember his name right off, but it was a balding guy with glasses.

One of the Hendricks brothers, either Tom or Joe, was on an episode of Trivia Trap. Both members of the duo were the first champions on Cullen BB, and Tom IIRC also appeared on MGPM in 1977 with Cullen on the panel.

What about police officer Thomas Rogers, was he on multiple game shows?

Well, I don't know about everyone, but I've had fun watching the Leland Yung hour this week. Quite obviously, just by watching, he made mince meat of word games. Even getting "Miss America" off of "Parks".
The overlap ended today with the end of the BB run ($51,000). He continues on P+ Monday, so far with over $15,000 in hand.

About six years ago on a Saturday afternoon on GSN, contestant Donna Deicken was on a "Password Plus" from 1979, and immediately following was one of her appearances on "Body Language" from 1985. All they had to do was show one of her "$100,000 Pyramid" appearances from 1987, and the world would have been officially freaky.
No freakier, however, than the fact that I remember this.

I thought you remembered more stuff than I did right after I started posting on ATGS, in your post about Pyramid's all time winners on 11/15/96.

I was already lol'ing at PYLdude's comment, but yours is the icing on the cake.

9:06:07 ...
(Wait, I should make that 7:06, because it's always Los Angeles time, even when they show scenes taking place in Washington.)
