From his site:

"The graveyard of NBC failures vs. The Young & the Restless after Jeopardy! was moved in 1974 could cover a section of Forest Lawn Cemetery."
[/quote]
What does this mean?  I've read it a few times, and I still don't get it.

I don't speak Beverlese (damn that actually works), but I guess he's saying that after NBC moved "Jeopardy" in 1974, anything they scheduled against Y&R crashed and burned. If he had left the Forest Lawn reference out, it might've made sense.
"They're both Norman Jewison movies, Troy, but we did think of one Jew more famous than Tevye."

Now celebrating his 22nd season on GSF!

That's more or less what he was saying.  People got tired of "Jackpot!" quickly, switched over to "Y&R" at a critical point in a new soap's life (since networks would give new soaps a year to prove themselves before considering cancellation, since it was considered that soaps needed a longer time to build up buzz) and stayed at CBS.  NBC never really recovered at noon after that.

Bumping this up for a question...

Body Language is going to take the place of TTTT on July 31. It's already been stated that the schedule changes will take place on July 3. Is it possible Da Perf's info was wrong, and ALL those changes will take place on July 31? The reason I ask is because no online TV listings show the new afternoon lineup for July 3. My DVR doesn't show it, Zap2it doesn't show it, TV Guide online doesn't show it.

And how did you get it to show that far in advance? I can't get it to go past July 7.

The easiest way is to go by-show.  Click on a show title, for example, Super Password.  (However, you can only do this on the old version of the listings grid so far as I've found)  You should see airings until, near the end of July at this point.  And they show the timeshift occuring on July 17.

If they have the data already into the system, there's probably some way to manipulate it to display a grid showing that far in advance (as used to be done to Adlink once upon a time), but I personally am just not interested enough in spending actual time trying to manipulate a website just to get advance listings for a TV channel,

You know, back in fall 2000, when I first became active in the community, I e-mailed Beverly to correct him about some Price-related thingy I've long since forgotten about.  I guess Zachy did, too.  The next afternoon, Beverly posted a correction, prefaced with, "Steve Gavazzi and Zach Horan, who keep stats on such things..."

I felt like puking.

That reminds me of one occasion where I guess Zach offered Perfesser another piece of information, and Beverly noted Zach as a "researcher".

OK, I just asked GSN and they told me August 1st.  Therefore, I have absolutely no idea what is going on.

Especially given that that's a Tuesday.  I can't exactly say I've heard of many schedule changes happening on a day of the week other than Monday or Saturday except in cases of a show lease expiring, which certainly doesn't *appear* to be the case here.
