I should have known better than to have actually hoped they'd air an ep of Sale. Instead, more of the same garbage.

Honestly, folks, are we gonna bitch and moan all the way to #1? It's been established that this list is a joke. Why be surprised and appalled as it progresses?

I'm kinda looking forward to the last show at 10:59pm, when Bil says "You just saw show #2 'Wheel of Fortune.'  The number one show is 'The Price Is Right.' Well, g'night everyone!"
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

And that is exactly why, as I said before, it will be Jeopardy.

As I stated before, I'm setting the DVR to tape each one (and erase it after I watch it or find out what the show is), but I can't say I'm disappointed in most of what's been offered so far. With the exception of Tattletales, and Treasure Hunt, they've all been duds (not counting shows that you can see on GSN). You'll have this at the bottom of a countdown list.

I could have stuck with Dog Eat Dog tonight for the mere fact that the WSoPC was ruined tonight.

Scrabble's not too far behind: next Wednesday, perhaps?

I'm not even pissed that GSN is not showing stuff they don't own; it's just that this didn't seem well though out at all. Jim Perry, who hosted Card Sharks and $ale of the Century for nearly 10 years combined, is a step behind Brooke Burke. Guys, it seems that the "T&A beats Q&A" method of selection no longer applies to just contestants.
Fact To Make You Feel Old: Just about every contestant who appears in a Price is Right Teen Week episode from here on out has only known a world where Drew Carey has been the host.

I think #1 will probably be either Match Game or Family Feud, while Jeopardy! will fall somewhere in the 5-7 range.

And regarding Jim Perry - I think Card Sharks will at least make the top 20, and if the promo is any indication, it'll be his version.  Of course, that doesn't change my opinion that $ale also deserved top 20 status, and that there's no way in hell that it should be ranked lower than Dog Eat Dog.  But it's pretty much been established that this list is a joke, so at this point, there's no use dwelling on it.  I'm just happy that they're digging some classics out of the vault.

Yes, because we're hardcore gameshow fans, and hardcore game show fans are never satisfied with something a mere executive can do, because we're hardcore.  WE should be producing, WE should be hosting, WE should be playing, and WE should be in control, because we're hardcore.

(The preceding post has been marinated in sarcasm and cynicism after being cooking at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.)

Seriously though, I'm starting to think more (or less) thought was put into this list than I first thought with only 2 shows being highlighted tonight.  That implies that the next on the list is another show GSN owns.  If they were trying to organize this into blocks more than a list, you could've thrown in another show.

At least GSN has some nice snaps.

Haha, I was actually excited for a moment, because they actually talked about Sale for a longer period of time than the other shows with no epsiodes shown. Then, he mentioned Dog Eat Dog, and I simply turned off the T.V. Thumbs down tonight. This whole week was basically a DUD.

A more thorough check of the promo shows that GONG, DATING and TJW are expected to be among the list, and the press release mentions that a Marshall HSq, a Thom McKee TTD and a classic NEWLYWED will be shown as well.  PASSWORD6x is also included in the promo (although the press release refers to P+ making the cut--they may include both or just include one).

So there just might be a few gems still on the horizon.  And if not, c'est la vie.
[/quote]

I'm thinking the Marshall "Squares" will be the one in the promo, and that one is a first-season syndie (1971-72) with Amanda Blake, Joey Bishop, Doc Severinsen, etc.  Wally and Paul are there but not Charley who was apparently suffering from health issues.

Here's my question:  which "Jeopardy!" do you think they'll show?  One of those rare Flemings they pull out every few years or one of the earliest Trebeks?  Maybe a celeb edition where Regis gets his hiney kicked?

Isn't the Million Dollar Masters part of the season they have on lease now? If I'm right about that, I'd say the tourney finale is a good bet for their J! pick. Personally, I'd love to see any pre-"sushi set" show. The longshot would be a Fleming ep. It's never been confirmed or denied they had the entire '79 run, but that is certainly ripe for the picking.

It certainly is part of that season, and I also think that's the one they'll pull out for this special.

I agree again. It would be cool to see a Fleming episode brought out; I think they've only aired two of those before.

Well, after a good week, we end this week on a blah note.  After Dwyer gives us a good-sized mention of $ale of the Century(#34), we get saddled with Dog Eat Dog at #33.  At that point, I imediately switched over to VH1's WSoPC's seni-finals.  I know the list is very subjective but couldn't they give me anything good this week?  Meh.

Week 1 was mostly good while week 2 was a near train-wreck.  Hopefully, week 3 will turn things around again starting at #32.

Yes, because GSN tailor-made this list just for you.

I must remember this line the next time I fill out a sick form at work.
Describe illness: suffering from health issues
I'm still holding out hope for a gem or two as the countdown continues.
And if that doesn't happen, as was stated here many times before the so-named Top 50 Of All Time began revealing themselves and has continued throughout the gradual list-unveiling, said list was compiled by the powers in the towers at GSN: The Network For Games and miracles shouldn't be expected.
I am, though, looking forward to the BLECHH! spree that erupts if Friend Or Foe gets in there.
