Well, I hope next week we get some better shows than Dog Eat Dog which aired last night. Maybe some B&E's will be on . I have not seen any of GSN since Feast of Favorites 2003 when TJW and Celebrity Bullseye aired.  I have not seen TTD since FoF 2002 and BTB 76-77 since it aired on Game of The Week in 2000.

Also, I hope Now You See it makes the list along with Body Language. If they do show BL , I hope they show an episode with Lucille Ball as a guest. She was a great player on there. I still love Lucy!.

And I hope NBC gives GSN special permission to air Concentration. If they do, it will most likely be Alex Trebek's version .

Well, guys the showing of Concentration may or may not happen, as NBC Universal has refused to lower the cost for the show. It ,like Truth or Consequences and $ale of The Century among others will probably just get a mention rather than a showing, unfortunately.

NBC needs to lower the cost for the repeats of Concentrationa dn they can't leave it in the vaults forever!.

And CBS may or may not announce next week that I'm going to replace Bob Barker on TPIR.  Yet somehow, I think I'm confident that I'm not going to be asking Rich Fields for another contestant anytime soon.

David, I am sorry but I nor any one else knows what GSN will have in the rest of The 50 Best Game Shows Special, as I am not sure whether or not NBC will let GSN have Concentration just for a one-shot appearance on the special.

As I said, it could have just a mention, but no showing of episodes like $OTC did.

And David, I have seen on GSN's boards where they tried to get Concentration several times, but the Peacock was asking a price that was too high.  I wish the Peacock would reduce the price for it, but I don't think it will happen soon.

If you don't know, you shouldn't have said that GSN would "most likely" get Trebek's version if it got Concentration at all.

Don't repeat that mistake and you'll be much better off.

Unless the information came from someone who works at GSN, the fact that it appeared on the GSN board does not make it legitimate.  In fact, I'd go so far as to say that it makes the information less legitimate, given the GSN board moderators' history of banning or suspending people who tried to correct incorrect information, even politely.

Don't believe everything you read; that's how Adam Kleist got into trouble, and a large part of the reason why he's no longer allowed to post.

OK, David I won't believe everything I read. Not even that piece of garbage called The National enquirer and the rest of that crap. Scout's honor!

Well, what they should have done is letting us vote for our favorite 5 or 10 shows, then use a point system to determine the top 50.  But, of course, this is GSN which has done a lot of things that made no sense.
I guess that is where the Feast of Favorites comes in...
Well, except FoF works differently in that you can only vote for one show during any given day of voting.  And surely, it only counts as one point.

As an example, various radio stations have a top 500 countdown during holiday weekends.  Listeners send in their favorite 10 songs.  Each song then gets 1-10 points depending on where it ranked on the listener's list.  The top 500 point getters are played that weekend.

So that's the idea, anyway.
This is my (respectful) point: can you have it both ways? Can you give them a pass on something that just plain isn't a game show and then roll your eyes when a show like DED, which is indeed not even close to Top-50-worthy, but at least is in fact a game show, pops up? Seems to me that one kinda voids your right to complain about the other.
In a very binary black/white, yes/no way of looking at it, I suppose.  Both examples were goofy.  I just didn't happen to think that including a Chuck Barris half-hour that most viewers aren't going to subject to our game-show/not-a-game-show litmus test was AS bad as placing an unsuccessful stunt show in the all-time top 40 just because it happened to be recent and available.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

And, we're back on track with Tic Tac Dough at 32.  It's the next to last ep of the legendary Tom Mckee run.

31: You Bet Your Life.

30: Card Sharks.  And, it's the legendary Norma Brown $28,800 episode!

They must've really been passing the crack at the offices if CS could only make #30

Consider it a coincidence that the two biggest wins in CS history played on the same day.

Sadly, we end the night on a downer, as Scrabble only gets a passing mention at 29.
